Ryan Tolkin
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer
Ryan Tolkin is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Schonfeld. He also serves as the Chair of the Executive Committee and as the Chair of the Global Investment Committee.
Under Ryan's leadership, Schonfeld evolved from a U.S.-centric family office to a global multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund. In addition to spearheading the firm's transition to a registered investment advisor in 2016, Ryan also led Schonfeld's international expansion, with office openings across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Complementing the firm's deep expertise in quantitative investing, tactical trading, and fundamental equities, Ryan further diversified Schonfeld's core strategies.
Andrew Fishman
Co-President
Andrew Fishman is the Co-President of Schonfeld. Andrew oversees Capital Development & Investor Relations and contributes to firmwide strategic and operational initiatives. He serves on the firm's Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2000, Andrew held roles at UBS, Citibank, Capstar Partners, and Salomon Brothers structuring private placements of equity and debt securities.
Andrew began his career as a lawyer in the New York office of Hunton & Williams focusing on highly structured corporate finance transactions. He earned a BA from Emory University and a JD with honors from Boston University School of Law.
Andrew Philipp
Co-President
Andrew Philipp is the Co-President of Schonfeld. He is responsible for enhancing and scaling the platform and infrastructure that support the firm's growing business, as well as oversight of the firm's Risk organization. He serves on the firm's Executive Committee and is Chair of the Global Operating Committee.
Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2026, Andrew spent five years as Chief Financial Officer of Citadel and Citadel Securities, and as a member of Citadel's Portfolio Committee. Before Citadel, Andrew spent over 16 years at Goldman Sachs, primarily in London, where he was a Partner and served most recently as the firm's Chief Market Risk Officer globally and Chief Risk Officer for EMEA. Earlier he spent more than a decade as a trader in the firm's Global Markets division.
Andrew received his BA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Connecticut.
Danielle Pizzo
Chief Strategy Officer
Danielle Pizzo is the Chief Strategy Officer of Schonfeld. Danielle is responsible for shaping the firm's strategic direction, leading firm-level strategy development and ensuring cohesive execution across investment, operational and organizational priorities to drive Schonfeld's growth and evolution.
She also oversees Human Capital Management and the firm's organizational strategy and development. She serves on the firm's Executive Committee and Global Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Schonfeld in 2013, Danielle worked as a Research Associate on the Long/Short Equity team at K2 Advisors. She graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with a BA in Economics and Psychology.
Adam Rockfeld
Chief Operating Officer
Adam Rockfeld is the Chief Operating Officer of Schonfeld. Adam is responsible for aligning financial and operational initiatives with the firm's strategic priorities. He serves on the firm's Executive Committee and Global Operating Committee.
Prior to joining Schonfeld, Adam served as COO, CFO and CCO of Raveneur Investment Group. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Managing Director of the Credit Opportunities Fund and Controller and Vice President of the Special Opportunities Fund at Fortress Investment Group.
Adam started his career in the Financial Markets Division of Arthur Andersen and KPMG. He earned a BS in Accounting from the University of Albany and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Michael Grad
Chief Investment Initiatives Officer
Michael Grad is the Chief Investment Initiatives Officer at Schonfeld, where he leads the firm's global expansion across strategic partnerships, new investment initiatives and portfolio manager acquisition. He serves on the firm's Executive Committee and Global Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Schonfeld, Michael was the Global Head of Business Development at BlueCrest Capital Management, overseeing portfolio manager sourcing, evaluation and platform growth. Before BlueCrest, he was a Senior Investment Officer at Millennium Management, and earlier served as an Investment Officer at UBS Alternative Investment Solutions.
Michael began his career in investment banking at TM Capital, advising on buy-side and sell-side transactions. He holds a BS in Finance and Information Systems from the NYU Stern School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Steven Schonfeld
Founder
Steven Schonfeld is the founder of Schonfeld Strategic Advisors. A gifted natural mathematician with a deep passion for numbers and statistics, Steven launched Schonfeld as a proprietary trading firm in 1988.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Steven developed pioneering statistical trading strategies—some of which are still in use today—and built one of the largest short-term trading operations.
By the late 1990s, Steven began allocating capital across a diversified portfolio of dozens of hedge funds. Anticipating major structural changes in markets—such as decimalization—he also led Schonfeld's early expansion into systematic and quantitative trading, positioning the firm as an early innovator in the quant space.
By the mid-2000s these initiatives laid the foundation for Schonfeld's evolution into a broader, institutionally-scaled family office—combining proprietary trading, external hedge fund allocations and exclusive partnerships with several top quantitative hedge funds.
In 2016, Schonfeld opened to outside capital, expanding its footprint globally and evolving into a leading multi-strategy hedge fund.
Steven holds a BA in Business Administration from Emory University.
